This part of my site gives information on many and soon all hopefully Imperial characters who have been named (Yes, even Praji).
Grand Admiral Thrawn
Thrawn is a blue skinned humanoid with glittering red eyes and although his race is unknown my best bet would be Azuran. He is in fact the only alien ever to be given any rank in the empire let alone a grand admiral. Thrawn was asked to join the Empire pre-endor although quite late in his life after he killed several stormtroopers and destroyed several ties using his tactil skill. The emperor, realizing his tactical abilities gladly assigned him a high position and within just a few years he was a grand admiral and commander of the star destroyer Chimaera.for unknown reasons he was kept strictly secret to all but a few in the Empire's high command even though he did much work even sometimes appearing in the field like for example when he pretended to be Jodo Kast in order to get rid of the Black Sun base on Correllia. Thrawn did however not come to the New Republic's attention until well after the battle at Endor when he reunited the Empire and made his all too close to succeding attempt to take back the galaxy. After he was defeated however his forces scattered and he fled to some distant corner.
Emperor Palpatine
Emperor Paplatine, previously a senator of the Old Republic government was an enterprising and hard working young man. It was thought by all that he and the other senators much like him would breathe new life into the Republic and after several years of silent maneuvering in office he was elected Head of State and he swiftly set his plan in motion, almost immediately sending his new "stormtroopers" out to declare martial law on the outer rim while at the same time dramatically increasing life style in thecore worlds. He soon elected himself Emperor and sent out his henchman the newly reformed lord Darth Vader out to kill the Jedi knights who posed the greatest threat. Indeed the only two people he failed to destroy were his former master Obi Wan Kenobi who beat him and threw him into a Lava pit and the alien Yoda who hid on the planet Dagobah where he was protected by a cave in his vicinity strong with the dark side. Within months Papatine had the universe in an Iron grip and had a fleet of Imperial star destroyers to challenge anyone or anything who stood in his way. The Emperor was always strong with the dark side of the force although few knew this and his officers openly mocked the Force: Indeed had people known his career would never even have begun. After he was elected however this became much more apparent as his eyes changed to a yellowy red and his whole body shrivelled up, making him appear much older than he really was. The Emperor died with the second Death Star at the battle of Endor although after Thrawn's attempt to take back the Empire he was reincarnated as a clone, who was soon also killed at the hands of Luke Skywalker and his buddies.
Lord Darth Vader
Vader, formerly Anakin Skywalker was turned to the dark side by the then senator Palpatine and during Papatines rise to power he spent his time searching for Jedi and then when the Old Republic fell before the new order he went out, battling and destroying almost every Jedi in existence even killing other dark Jedi whom the Emperor believed posed some kind of threat to him (like Hitler and the Sturm Abteilung). Vader failed to destroy a mere handful, a few who were too well hidden to be found out and his old master Obi Wan Kenobi who was too powerful for him at the time. Vader had little command in the Empire although the Emperor gave that illusion to him lest Vader grow unrestful and try to take over himself and Vader killed several Imperial officers whom had more command than himself. Vader actually acted more as a body guard and assassin, spending much time working in the field and as a symbol of Imperial terror. It is believed that the Emperor planned to have Vader killed as he seemed to hunger more and more for power. Who knows, perhaps Mara Jade would have succeeded him <g>. Before he turned to the dark side Anakin Skywalker was madly in love with a woman (damn, can't remember her name) anyway he got her pregnant and then left to become the Emperor's aide and during this time she had two twin children Luke and Leia and before she ws killed she sent both off into hiding and Vader never even knew he had children. Luke was sent to his aunt and uncle on Tatooine to work as a moisture farmer while Leia was adopted by the royal Organa family on Alderaan (hehehehehe) where she grew up as a politician and princess. Much later at the battle of Endor Luke Skywalker turned Vader back to the light side and Vader killed the Emperor, dieing shortly afterwards from battle wounds (and a couple of thousand volts of electricity).
Mara Jade, The Emperor's hand
Mara Jade has long flowing red hair and a pretty darn good physique and was born on Coruscant and as a child was selected by the emperor as his secret dark Jedi apprentice, Like grand admiral Thrawn she was known only by a select few. Mara wennt around the galaxy doing the emperors will and assassinating or spying on his enemies although most Imperials considered her little more than the Emperor's private dancing girl but the Emperor thought of her as his daughter very much and I think if the Empire had not fallen that she would have become his heir to the throne and the fact that she is perhaps the only living human who knows the Emperor's overwrite code which is built into every Imperial computer shows that she is or a least was considered much more highly by the emperor than even Thrawn or indeed any of the other grand admirals. Mara was the one selected to kill Luke Skywalker when he arrived on Tatooine to save his companion Han Solo but due to her being forced to keep her cover as one of Jabba's dancing girls she was unable to go on the sail barge to the great pit of Carkoon where Jabba died; although on his second trip into the cave on Dagobah Luke Skywalker found out that if she had been at the battle of the pit of Carkoon she would have been succesful and killed Luke and his companions. After Endor Mara Jade fled to the outer Rim where she saved the life of the smuggler Talon Karrde and joined his organization.
Trooper Davin Felth
A sandtrooper on Tatooine. The one that said the famous line "look sir, Droids" in fact. Davin Felth somehow made it into the stormtroopers and was classed as loyal enough to join! but soon after joining when he killed a load of Jawas and these two old people (Luke's aunt and uncle) he turned to the rebellion and became a fifth columnist* spy in the Imperial army, leaking information to the rebellion. *fancy for traitor.
Captain Pellaeon
The second in command to grand admiral Thrawn on board the star destroyer Chimaera, Pellaeon formerly served under admiral Daala and took part in the battle at Endor, although he was forced to flee after it became clear the Empire had lost. Pellaeon hates even the mention of Endor and is quite suspicious of the force particularly the deceased master Joruus C'Baoth. He could easily be the guy who said "Bounty hunters we don't need that scum" (maybe not). Pellaeon is what you could call the typical Imperial naval officer.
